Engineering Oil & Gas Company in Nantong, China, seeks an Equipment Superintendent to organise and oversee site works, coordinating with subcontractors and direct hires. You will ensure safety, quality and adherence to schedules, while managing interfaces across construction disciplines and supervising inspection activities.

Responsibilities include setting up time schedules, coordinating resources, supervising QC plans and ensuring accurate quantities and cost tracking.

Responsabilidades

• Organise, coordinate and control site works by subcontractors or direct hiring with interfaces across construction and engineering disciplines.
• Oversee inspection activities, ensure materials and equipment availability and verify works align with documentation and schedule.
• Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.
• Set up time schedules for the specific scope of work and manage progress reporting and deviations.
• Coordinate and control activities of dependent teams, ensuring correct quantities and cost estimates are updated.
• Manage Quality Control inspection and tests, and review QC Plans for mechanical works.
• Support resolution of technical problems and ensure punch list clearance and MC certificate achie vement.

MISSION

• Organise, coordinate and control the execution of the site works performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction and engineering disciplines, ensuring the management of inspection activities, overseeing the availability of the construction materials and equipment and verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with documentation and schedule
• Ensure full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures

TASKS

• For Package and Machinery portion of mechanical works:
• Verify adequacy in number and qualification of subcontracted personnel for the required scope of work
• Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected
• Ensure the fulfillment of the project quality and technical contractual requirements
• Set-up time schedule adhering to the time frame allocated to the specific scope of work
• Arrange for the correct and cost-effective performance of construction works, in accordance with the established operating programs, coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the dependent teams
• Organize and manage the Quality Control inspection and tests activities
• Check the Quality Control Plans for mechanical work Check the Quality Control Plans
• Give all information regarding the progress of the work indicating the cause of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose solutions and/or request instructions to overcome these problems. Control production parameters in terms of efficiency and productivity
• Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfacing with all the Project organization
• Support the resolution of technical problems encountered during the execution of the works
• Ensure the correct quantities accounts of the works, including updating man hours and cost estimates for scope of work changes
• Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the works performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring.
• Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus.
• Plan and monitor vendors or any specialists activities at site
• Manage the technical and administrative documentation
• Ensure the achievement of the MC certificate according to priority and systemization done by commissioning, being responsible for certification and punch list clearance
