Job Description

Domain Architect – Corporate & Investment Banking

Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished Domain Architect – Corporate & Investment Banking to lead architecture strategy, domain modeling, and transformation initiatives across capital markets, treasury, payments, corporate lending, risk, finance, and regulatory functions.

This role requires a unique blend of deep banking domain expertise, enterprise architecture leadership, and AI-enabled solution design, supported by an MBA in Corporate Finance or Accounting.

The ideal candidate will define target-state banking architectures, design cross-domain solution blueprints, and lead large-scale digital and AI-native transformations. Spanish proficiency is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Banking Domain Architecture

• Define CIB domain models, capability maps, and target-state architectures
• Lead architecture for Corporate Lending, Treasury / ALM, Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance, Risk & Finance
• Translate regulatory requirements (Basel, AML / KYC, IFRS / GAAP) into solution patterns
• Architect financial data flows covering GL, sub-ledger, reconciliations, and reporting

Enterprise & Solution Architecture

• Lead end-to-end architecture across UI, backend, integration, data, and AI
• Design cloud-native architectures (AWS / Azure / GCP), microservices, event-driven systems
• Establish architecture guardrails, standards, and modernization strategies
• Drive platform engineering best practices across global teams

Risk, Finance & Regulatory Architecture

• Architect risk and finance data models and regulatory reporting flows
• Build frameworks for data lineage, governance, quality, and audit compliance
• Support architectures for credit / market risk, liquidity, and capital reporting

Strategic Consulting & Transformation

• Engage C-level stakeholders on banking technology strategy
• Lead operating model design, domain assessments, and roadmap creation
• Build business cases, ROI models, and transformation plans
• Facilitate workshops, blueprinting, and cross-functional alignment

Required Qualifications

Academic & Professional

• MBA in Corporate Finance or Accounting (Mandatory)
• 15+ years in enterprise / solution architecture
• 10+ years in Corporate or Investment Banking
• Fluency in Spanish

Domain Expertise

• Corporate Lending, Treasury / ALM, Payments, Trade Finance
• Capital Markets front-to-back lifecycle
• Risk & regulatory frameworks (Basel, CCAR, AML / KYC, IFRS / GAAP)
• Finance & accounting processes (GL, product processors, reconciliations)

Technical Skills

• Cloud-native architecture (AWS / Azure / GCP), Kubernetes, microservices
• Data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), streaming (Kafka), governance
• AI / ML (LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, MLOps, AI governance)
• API-first, event-driven architecture, Java / Python / C#

Leadership & Consulting

• Executive presence and stakeholder influence
• Leading cross-functional / global teams
• Strong communication, facilitation, and architectural storytelling
• Experience with Agile / SAFe in regulated environments

Preferred

• Prior architecture leadership in major banks
