Siemens is seeking an EDR specialist to join the Cyber Defense Center, focusing on CrowdStrike Falcon Platform administration and global deployments. You will work in an international, client-facing team to enhance threat protection across Siemens' worldwide networks.

The Cyber Defense Endpoint Detection and Response specialist is a member of the Siemens Cyber Defense Center, whose primary mission is to defend Siemens against cybersecurity threats worldwide.

This role combines hands‑on technical expertise in close collaboration with multi‑disciplinary Cyber Security Team members (Security Analysts, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, Data Science, SecDevOps, Threat Intelligence etc) to help improving Siemens cyber threat protection posture. As an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) specialist, you should have a team‑oriented, client‑facing mindset and proven experience in EDR infrastructure and platform deployments.

You will play a key role in supporting the design, deployment, configuration, optimization, operation, and monitoring of large‑scale EDR deployments across Siemens using leading vendor technologies. This role requires the ability to respond to a wide range of issues, from enhancing existing detection and prevention measures to maintaining and expanding deployments and supporting customer end users.

Your mission will be

• Actively contribute to an international team of Siemens cybersecurity professionals supporting globally deployed EDR solutions.
• Be engaged in the evaluation, design, implementation and management of new approaches leveraging the EDR solutions and capabilities of our state‑of‑the‑art detection platforms.
• Interface with cybersecurity groups across business units and with supported end users to resolve EDR‑related challenges.
• Contribute to cybersecurity‑related events and provide status information to the management team to support effective response and decision‑making.
• Help improve Siemens’ security posture by supporting governance policies, increasing EDR coverage, and maintaining a strong company‑wide security posture.
• Help drive new EDR capabilities by applying automation methods, API‑based integrations, and CI/CD approaches.
• Contribute to knowledge creation and sharing.
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call support for EDR platform management and vendor escalation.

We are looking for someone with…

• Minimum 2 years of practical proven experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Platform administration.
• Availability for performing 24x7 On Call Management Support.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and strong collaboration in international and virtual teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers, partners, and customers especially in translating security topics into business language.
• Proactive monitoring and ownership mentality while maintaining a collaborative international group approach to support our Global EDR deployments.
• Operating system (Windows and Linux) advanced troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience writing structured technical documentation.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a similar field, or equivalent overall experience in cybersecurity.
• Willingness to build up and share your technical knowledge.
• Ability to travel internationally and nationally as business and time permits.
• CrowdStrike Falcon Platform certification, such as CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator (CCFA), is a plus.
• IP networking fundamentals are a plus.
• Knowledge of global deployment, configuration, automation methods, and related toolsets is a plus.
• Project and delivery management experience is a plus.
