Dow Jones seeks a reporter to join its EMEA team providing real-time news and analysis for financial professionals. The role emphasizes fast, accurate headlines and brief articles in English, with a need to analyze signals for investors.

This eight-month fixed-term contract may include editing tasks depending on skill. Collaboration across Dow Jones Newswires, WSJ and other bureaus is expected in a high-volume newsroom.

Formación

• Excellent written English is essential.
• A strong grasp of at least one other European language is desirable.
• Experience identifying important, forward-looking details from fast-moving information streams.
• Ability to break news and seek interviews with newsmakers.

Responsabilidades

• Exercise exceptional news judgment to identify news of importance to professionals and summarize for investors.
• Prioritize and summarize news into smart briefs and subsequent analysis.
• Recognize and respond to the core audiences for Dow Jones Newswires.
• Collaborate with reporters and editors across groups, including WSJ and other bureaus.
• Uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics.
