Una universitat destacada a Barcelona cerca un tècnic de suport a la investigació en telecomunicacions. El candidat aplicarà models d'IA generativa per a les comunicacions sense fils i recollirà dades rellevants per a optimitzar la formació dels algoritmes d'aprenentatge automàtic. És requisit tenir un grau en telecomunicacions i fluïdesa en anglès. Aquesta posició és a temps complet amb contracte indefinit. La remuneració prevista és d'aproximadament 35.869,94 € bruts anuals.

• Aplicació de models d'IA generativa a les comunicacions sense fils de nova generació.

Descripció del projecte / Project description :

Data-driven design of 6G wireless networks. Specific topics include the following :

• AI models for site-specific wireless digital twinning of the radio propagation environment supporting the training and optimization of AI / ML models for the physical layer of wireless communications.
• Generative AI models for wireless channel generation e.g. generative adversarial networks or diffusion models to produce synthetic data.
• Embedding models for wireless channel representation e.g. transformer-based leveraging reconstruction or contrastive learning paradigms.

Main research field : Telecommunications.

Funció a desenvolupar / Tasks to be performed :

Application of Generative AI models to next-generation wireless communications. Related to WP1 on lightweight 3D environment modeling. Main tasks include the following :

• Collecting site-specific and realistic radio propagation data through GPU-accelerated ray tracing to train AI / ML algorithms.
• Exploring the use of generative models for wireless channel modeling e.g. to produce synthetic data to train AI / ML algorithms for downstream tasks for the physical layer. These may include conditional models to capture user-specific or site-specific radio propagation conditions generative adversarial approaches and / or diffusion model approaches.
• Exploring the use of transformer-based embedding models for task-agnostic wireless channel representation to support multiple wireless downstream tasks. These may include channel state information compression and feedback channel estimation mmWave beam prediction and management localization or channel charting and mmWave blockage prediction.

La durada daquestes tasques sestima en un perióde de 9 mesos. / The duration of these tasks is estimated over a period of 9 months.

• Grau / Bachelor degree.

Criteris de selecció / Selection criteria :

The selection of the candidates will be made through evaluation of the curriculum and where appropriate with the carrying out a test and / or interview. Valuation will be as follows :

• Academic Training (0-30 points). Academic qualifications above the required level. MSc degree in telecommunications or related field from top institution in the country of origin.
• Other professional training and experience adequacy to the proposed profile (0-50 points). Strong background in wireless communications mathematics and machine learning programming skills.
• Other merits (0-20 points). Fluent oral and written English. Enthusiastic hardworking positive person.

The minimum score to pass the selection process is 90 points. The candidate with the highest score in the selection process will be offered the job.

Retribució prevista aproximada / Planned remuneration approx : 35.8699 4 brut per any / gross per year
