DevOps Engineer (Azure Fabric) - B2B

Location: 100% remote (UK client)

Rate: 290 - 390 EUR per day

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled

Azure & Microsoft Fabric Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) with deep expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure for modern data platforms. This role places a strong emphasis on Microsoft Fabric and Azure-native services, requiring someone who can confidently build secure, scalable, and cost-efficient environments that enable advanced data engineering and analytics workloads.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the deployment and ongoing management of Azure infrastructure components supporting Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage, and related data services.
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using ARM templates or Terraform to ensure consistent, repeatable.
  • Monitor and continually optimise Azure and Fabric environments for cost, performance, resilience, and scalability.
  • Configure and manage security across Fabric and Azure, including licensing, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, access controls, and Private Endpoints.
  • Support and enhance CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure and data platform deployments using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Provide advanced platform support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for Fabric and Azure infrastructure components.
Experience & Knowledge Required
  • Extensive hands‑on experience deploying, securing, and managing Azure infrastructure to support Microsoft Fabric and Azure‑based data management platforms.
  • Strong background in IaC using ARM templates or Terraform, with experience automating end‑to‑end infrastructure deployments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, HCL, and JSON.
  • Solid understanding of Azure governance, identity, networking, and security best practices.
  • Practical experience with DevOps methodologies and CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure and data workloads.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a contract setting while delivering high‑quality, production‑ready solutions.
