Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Madrid is seeking a Design & Development Lab Test Means Engineer to join the Laboratory Test Means Team for multiple programs. You will design, manufacture, modify and maintain functional and software test benches, while coordinating suppliers and supporting aircraft equipment logistics.

The role requires a degree in engineering, 1–2 years in LTM design, strong PM skills, and advanced English; Spanish is recommended.

• Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial, Electronics, or related).
• 1–2 years of experience in Lab Test Means (LTM) design.
• Strong project management and customer-focused communication abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design, manufacture, retrofit, and maintain functional, software, and electronic lab test benches across Airbus programs; manage associated suppliers and logistics.
• Analyze program requirements to specify, design, build, and deliver Lab Test Means solutions meeting Quality, Time, Cost and Performance targets.
• Define test means specifications, select subcontractors, and manage projects during realization.
• Control configuration management for aircraft equipment on test means and manage export control compliance and logistics movements.
• Perform budgeting, planning, tendering, Product Regulatory Compliance activities, verification, and commissioning.
• Collaborate with operating and maintenance teams, providing 2nd-level support for existing test benches.

Job Description:An opportunity for a Design & Development Lab Test Means Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space , Getafe (Madrid).The selected candidate will join the Laboratory Test Means Team for all Airbus Defence and Space programs. The jobholder will reinforce our department, taking responsibility for the design, manufacturing, modification, and maintenance activities of functional and software test benches, while managing suppliers and supporting aircraft equipment logistics across ongoing projects.RESPONSIBILITIESThe main tasks of the jobholder will be:Manage the design, manufacturing development, retrofit, and maintenance of functional, software, and electronic test benches across Airbus programs.Analyze program requirements to specify, design, build, and deliver Lab Test Means and test solution systems adhering to Quality, Time, Cost, and Performance targets.Define test means specifications , drive supplier selection for subcontracted activities, and perform project management during the realization phase.Control configuration management for aircraft equipment populated on test means, ensuring export control compliance and handling logistics movements.Execute budget provision, planning, tendering, Product Regulatory Compliance engineering activities, verification procedures, components verification, and commissioning.Collaborate closely with operating and maintenance teams, providing 2nd level support on existing test benches.SKILLSIs your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
