Job summary

dLocal is seeking a DataOps Technical Referent in Madrid to build and operate a reliable, secure data-mesh platform. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, automating infrastructure and workflows, and improving platform operations across data engineering and analytics teams.

You’ll focus on Databricks platform administration, IaC, and automation, working with cloud, security, and data teams to drive reliability, governance, and scalable data solutions for global

Qualifications

• Strong Python and automation capabilities are required.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
• Experience administering Databricks and platform automation.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS, and data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Python components, Terraform modules, and CI/CD pipelines to automate data platform processes and infrastructure.
• Administer and support Databricks workspaces, including access controls and compute policies.
• Manage Databricks infrastructure as code across environments.
• Support Databricks IAM, permissions, secrets, networking, and integrations with cloud and security teams.
• Operate and optimize Databricks workloads for reliability, performance, and cost.
• Integrate APIs and platform tools to automate data operations and connect infrastructure and services.
• Deploy and oversee cloud infrastructure to meet reliability goals.
• Develop data models, best practices, and technical documentation for users.
• Establish and improve DataOps and DevOps practices, policies, and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and drive issues to resolution.
• Contribute to platform architecture and governance with data access and stewardship in mind.
