Parameta Solutions, the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP, is seeking a talented Data Scientist to design, develop and deploy scalable data products that transform complex financial data into actionable insights from Madrid.

You will collaborate with Data Engineering, Product and Commercial teams to harness cloud technologies, Generative AI and advanced analytics, delivering AI-powered solutions that drive commercial value across the business.

Formación

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Proven production-grade Python applications in data science or analytics.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (OOP, modular design, version control).
• Experience deploying analytical/AI solutions in a commercial setting.
• Advanced SQL for large-scale datasets.
• Experience with data/engineering platforms (Snowflake, Airflow, Docker, CI/CD).
• Experience developing Generative AI/LLM solutions and cloud architectures (AWS).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based data analysis and automation applications.
• Build scalable data science solutions extracting insights from large datasets.
• Develop dashboards, monitoring and visualization tools for strategic decisions.
• Improve data applications, data quality frameworks and analytics platforms.

Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.

Role Overview

We are on a mission to harness the power of data and artificial intelligence to shape the next generation of financial intelligence solutions. As we continue to expand our Data Science capability, we are seeking a talented and innovative Data Scientist to develop cutting-edge analytical and Generative AI solutions that drive commercial value across our business.

Based in Madrid and working within Parameta Solutions, you will play a key role in designing, developing and deploying scalable data products that transform complex financial data into actionable insights. Working closely with Data Engineering, Product, Commercial and Technology teams, you will leverage advanced analytics, cloud technologies and Generative AI capabilities to support the evolution of our data-driven product suite.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust Python-based applications for financial data analysis, transformation, enrichment and automation.
• Build scalable data science solutions that extract actionable insights from large and complex financial datasets.
• Develop interactive dashboards, monitoring frameworks and visualisation tools to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Enhance, support and continuously improve existing data applications, data quality frameworks and analytical platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Managers and commercial stakeholders to ensure the scalability, reliability and usability of data products and models.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including modular development, code reviews, automated testing, version control and CI/CD methodologies.
• Design, develop and maintain Generative AI solutions that enhance internal processes, analytical capabilities and customer-facing products.
• Leverage AWS cloud technologies and services to build scalable AI and machine learning applications, making full use of innovative capabilities available through our strategic AWS partnership.
• Evaluate emerging AI, machine learning and data science technologies, identifying opportunities to improve products, processes and client outcomes.
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of Parameta Solutions' data science and AI capabilities, helping establish best practices and technical standards across the team.

Experience / Competences

Essential

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.
• Proven experience developing production-grade Python applications within a data science, machine learning or quantitative analytics environment.
• Demonstrated software engineering fundamentals including object-oriented programming, modular design patterns and version control.
• Experience building and deploying analytical, machine learning or AI-driven solutions in a commercial environment.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience querying and manipulating large-scale datasets.
• Experience working with modern data and engineering platforms such as Snowflake, Airflow, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing or integrating Generative AI, Large Language Model (LLM) or machine learning solutions.
• Demonstrated understanding of cloud-based architectures and services, particularly within AWS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Desired

• Industry experience in a computational or quantitative data science role.
• Experience developing customer-facing analytics, recommendation engines or AI-powered products.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment, monitoring and governance frameworks.
• Experience working within agile product and engineering environments.
