A leading consulting firm is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to spearhead AI initiatives at an enterprise scale. This role involves mentoring teams, designing AI tools that drive business impact, and collaborating with senior stakeholders for strategic alignment. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field and over 10 years of experience in Data Science and AI. The position requires strong technical and consultancy skills, with a 2 days per week on-site commitment in the Barcelona area, along with some international travel.

You might be a fit if you have

• A PhD in Data / Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 10+ years in DS / AI with a track record leading high-impact projects and teams.
• Experience establishing QA frameworks and governance for DS initiatives.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced proficiency across ML / optimisation / simulation / deep learning / GenAI.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in AI governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance.
