Capitole is seeking a Data Scientist to join an international project focused on AI-powered document processing. You will work with LLMs, OCR, NLP and ML to turn unstructured business documents into structured data, collaborating with AI and product teams to deliver measurable business value.

The role emphasizes hands-on experimentation, prompt engineering and building production-ready solutions with Python, while communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, ML or Applied AI.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI.
• Strong Python skills and testing/version control.
• Experience with unstructured data and evaluation metrics.
• Fluent English and Spanish; able to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Degree in CS/AI/Data Science/Mathematics/Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Document Intelligence and OCR, especially Azure Document Intelligence.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock.
• Experience with multimodal or Vision-Language Models.

Responsabilidades

• Design and improve AI solutions for document extraction, classification, validation and transformation.
• Experiment with LLMs, multimodal models, OCR, NLP and ML to identify the best approach for each use case.
• Develop prompts, structured outputs, validation and post-processing logic for complex document formats.
• Build datasets and evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy and continuously improve solution performance.
• Develop automated evaluations and regression tests to ensure robustness when models or pipelines change.
• Write clean, reusable Python code and translate experiments into production-ready solutions with AI and Data Engineers.
• Work with Product and business stakeholders to define use cases and success criteria.
• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, ML or Applied AI.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and Generative AI.
• Strong understanding of NLP, ML and statistics.
