Job summary

eDreams ODIGEO is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Barcelona Data Science Team in a hybrid role. You will design and implement advanced analytics and ML-powered solutions across areas like fraud detection, recommendations, user personalization, and marketing optimization.

You will work with a global team on hundreds of predictions daily, applying the best tool for each task and staying up to date with ML trends. This role emphasizes collaboration and impact across business units.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative fields).
• 2+ years of related experience as a Data Scientist, ML engineer or similar.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of statistical, data mining and ML methods.
• Proficiency in Python; knowledge of Scala, R or Java is a plus.
• Experience with Spark, TensorFlow and libraries like scikit-learn, pandas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct predictive analytics to understand customer interactions and anticipate needs.
• Embed ML into apps, services and products, creating predictive models from data.
• Share best analytical practices within the organization.
