Grid Dynamics Holdings is seeking an experienced Data Governance specialist to shape governance across large data engagements. The role blends business policy and technical implementation to drive governance maturity and advisory support.

The ideal candidate translates regulatory requirements into concrete architecture, builds reusable governance playbooks, and acts as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across presales and delivery teams.

Formación

• 5+ years in data governance or data management for large enterprises
• Translate regulatory requirements into technical architecture
• Experience engaging senior client stakeholders in presales or advisory roles
• Proficient with modern data platforms and governance tooling (Purview, Collibra, Alation)
• Excellent written and spoken communication for technical and non-technical audiences

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance specialist to help shape how we approach governance across large, complex data engagements. The ideal candidate combines strong data governance expertise with the communication and advisory skills needed to bridge business/policy concerns and technical implementation.

Essential functions

• Owns the data governance perspective in presales and discovery for large data engagements - assesses current governance maturity and shapes governance requirements as part of the proposed solution
• Translates regulatory, compliance, and policy requirements into concrete architecture and delivery decisions
• Builds and maintains reusable data governance frameworks, maturity models, and assessment playbooks that can be applied across engagements
• Acts as a trusted advisor to client-side stakeholders, bridging policy concerns and the engineering team's implementation choices
• Supports delivery teams post-sale in operationalizing governance: data stewardship models, data quality processes, lineage and cataloging, and access control policies
• Tracks the evolving regulatory and AI-governance landscape and translates implications into practical guidance for pursuits and delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance or data management, with hands‑on experience designing and operationalizing governance functions (policy, stewardship, data quality, lineage, access control) for large enterprises
• Demonstrated ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into technical architecture and engineering practice
• Direct experience engaging senior client stakeholders in presales, discovery, or advisory contexts
• Working fluency with modern data platforms and governance tooling (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Alation)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present governance assessments and roadmaps to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Would be a plus

• Prior hands‑on technical experience as a data engineer, data architect, or similar
• Experience with AI/ML governance
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP)
