AstraZeneca Spain is seeking a Data Foundation Engineering Lead to drive data platform strategy from Barcelona. You will own end-to-end data pipelines, govern data products, and mentor a team of engineers to deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions.

Formación

• 10+ years in Data Engineering with SaaS and multi-tenant data platforms.
• Strong AWS services knowledge (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, WAF, CloudTrail).
• Experience with data products (S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, Glue, DataZone, Athena, RedShift Serverless).
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm; IaC with CDK/CloudFormation.
• CI/CD with GitHub Actions; familiarity with ArgoCD is a plus.
• Security mindset: IAM, KMS, encryption, security best practices.
• Streaming and batch data pipelines using Glue, Kinesis, Kafka.
• Strong scripting with TypeScript and Bash; multi-account AWS management.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across product, security, and ops.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and management of data foundations and pipelines.
• Architect production-grade data lake and table formats (Iceberg/Delta).
• Build streaming pipelines with Kinesis or Kafka and ensure exactly-once semantics.
• Define infrastructure as code with CDK/CloudFormation and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Model data schemas and governance, implement policy-based access control.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead cross-functional collaboration with product and security.
