Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to strengthen the IT EDP Finance & Group Functions Data & Analytics team in Spain. You will build scalable data pipelines, optimize data flows, and ensure high data quality across finance, procurement, HR, sustainability, and IT domains.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable a consistent data delivery architecture for analytics and AI use cases, using AWS services and Snowflake/Databricks in a cloud-first environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role.
• Proven proficiency with the Apache ecosystem (Parquet, Iceberg, Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (Kinesis, Glue, AppFlow, Lambda, S3).
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably Snowflake/Databricks, and dbt for pipelines.
• Advanced scripting with Python or Scala and working with unstructured data.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Define and evolve cloud-based data architecture including data warehouses and lakes.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Optimize storage and data integrations (S3, Snowflake, dbt, SnapLogic) with quality controls.
• Implement data quality validation and maintain documentation.
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
• Engage with clients to analyze processes and propose improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve data engineering practices.
