Expedia Group is seeking a data engineer to design and build data capture, processing, and visualization pipelines for our B2B data lake. You will work with cloud technologies and a suite of big data tools to enable real-time and batch analytics for millions of travelers and partners.

You will join a collaborative team focused on scalable, high-performance data platforms, using AWS, Kafka, Spark, and Docker in a cloud-based environment.

Formación

• Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g. Scala, Python or Java).
• Experience delivering highly available and scalable solutions with large transaction volumes.
• Experience with Relational Databases and SQL.
• Experience using cloud services (e.g. AWS).
• Passion for learning in data, technology, service design patterns and system architecture.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop data capture, processing, storage, distribution and visualization components.
• Apply AWS standard methodologies and products (compute, storage, databases).
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Build scalable, distributed systems with high availability and resiliency.
• Communicate and document solutions and design decisions.
• Propose new ways of doing things and contribute to system architecture.
• Be part of an agile team that continuously learns and improves.
