Job summary

Keyrus Spain is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer – AI & Data Platforms in Madrid. You will design and deploy data pipelines and data products, turning enterprise data into trusted, reusable assets for analytics and AI workloads.

The role blends technical engineering with consultative work, collaborating with AI and software teams, and requiring monthly travel to Madrid or Lisbon. Fluency in Spanish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience designing, building and operating production data pipelines and data products.
• Deep practical expertise in at least one major cloud data ecosystem.
• Experience with AI, software, analytics, architecture or governance teams.
• Availability for monthly travel to Madrid or Lisbon.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and operate production data pipelines and data products.
• Develop and maintain data models and transformation logic.
• Implement data quality, lineage, metadata and observability controls.
• Prepare structured and unstructured data for AI use cases.
• Engineer reliable ingestion and processing across various sources.
• Operate data workloads in a major cloud data ecosystem.
• Collaborate with AI and Software Engineers on data interfaces.
• Document and reuse data contracts and transformations.
