Softlanding in Spain seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy data solutions within an Agile team. Translate business requirements into robust data pipelines, work with data platforms, APIs, and architectures, ensuring adherence to data standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data engineering, strong Python and SQL skills, experience with REST and SOAP APIs, Git and CI/CD, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience in Financial Services is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
• Strong Python for data processing; functional approach.
• Relational databases and SQL experience.
• Experience integrating REST APIs into ETL pipelines.
• Exposure to SOAP APIs for data integration.
• Git and CI/CD practices, multi-branch development.

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with a strong technical background in data engineering, data architecture, and data pipeline development. The successful candidate will work within an Agile team to design, develop, test, and deploy data solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to the client's data standards and frameworks.

The ideal candidate is delivery-focused, collaborative, and capable of engaging with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Refine and translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with the client's data standards, architecture, and frameworks.
• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines, data processes, and APIs within the existing data platform and technology stack.
• Develop and maintain data integration solutions using Python, SQL, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.
• Conduct development environment testing and provide supporting evidence of test results.
• Collaborate with QA engineers during System Integration Testing (SIT) and support testing activities in the designated environment.
• Manage and execute production deployments, ensuring adherence to established release and CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to existing data pipelines and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, communicate technical solutions, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including refinement, planning, and delivery activities.
• Lead the documentation of implemented technical solutions at the user story and data catalogue levels.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Previous experience in the Financial Services sector is an advantage.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Technical Skills

• Sound understanding of data architecture and data modelling principles.
• Strong Python programming skills, particularly for data processing using a functional programming approach.
• Solid experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Previous experience integrating REST APIs into data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Previous exposure to SOAP APIs for data integration and ETL processes.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD practices, including multi-branch development strategies.

• Fluent in English, with strong written, reading, and spoken communication skills.
