BME - Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, part of SIX, is seeking a Data Engineer in Madrid to design and evolve our data infrastructure and support cloud-based analytics. You will build data pipelines and enable scalable analytics for the Exchanges Business Unit.

Candidates bring Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Azure Data Factory experience, with a focus on data quality, collaboration, and delivering actionable insights.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field with a strong interest for finance, data and technology
• Strong experience with Databricks, Azure, Python, PySpark, and Azure Data Factory
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with CI/CD and a detail-oriented, ownership-driven mindset
• Experience as a Data Engineer in a business-facing role
• Professional fluency in English
• Experience with financial data and data quality controls is beneficial
• Experience applying AI/ML pragmatically to enhance data quality, detect anomalies, or support advanced analytics is beneficial

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and prototypes to analyze large-volume transactional data
• Develop and optimize our data analytics platform using Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Python, SQL and PySpark
• Support the team in the creation of reports providing insights to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with IT, architects, and analysts to align with platform standards
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency of financial data
• Troubleshoot data issues end-to-end and identify root causes
