CyrusOne in Spain is seeking an experienced Data Centre Operations Engineer to support the regional Data Centre Manager in electrical, mechanical and facility systems, with a focus on uptime and reliable service. You will monitor BMS alarms, coordinate contractors, review and amend system drawings, and drive incident and change management to minimise disruptions and maintain 100% uptime.

Responsabilidades

• Be the point of contact with customer representatives during day-to-day operations and incident escalation.
• Monitor SLA compliance for client areas within the Data Centre and action accordingly.
• Manage Contractors PPMs and service repairs on critical data centre systems; handle related admin tasks.
• Read, review, and amend Data Centre Electrical/Mechanical system drawings.
• Perform and manage BMS monitoring and primary alarm responses; assist diagnostics and RCAs as needed.
• Review and assign Reactive/Remedial work from ticketing system for all critical equipment and infrastructure.
• Provide onsite cover for the Data Centre Manager during holidays or sickness.
• Provide technical responses to field service bulletins from customers or manufacturers.

This is a critical engineering role with an enviable list of high-profile customers. CyrusOne’s primary aim is to maintain a 100% uptime and deliver best in class service whilst operating some of the most efficient and cost-effective DC’s within the industry. This is a full-time role which hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm. The role supports the region Data Centre Manager in overall responsibility for the buildings’ Electrical and Mechanical systems, both from a preventative and reactive maintenance perspective. Change management and incident management are also key elements of this role. This person must possess strong verbal, written communication skills and can lead others. Key Responsibilities

• To provide a point of communication with customer representatives during day-to-day operations and incident escalation.
• To monitor compliance to SLA deliverables to the client areas within the Data Centre, and action accordingly to ensure compliance.

• Management of Contractors PPMs and Service Repairs on Critical Data Centre Systems, all associated administrative duties.
• Read, review, and amend Data Centre Electrical / Mechanical system drawings.

• Perform and Manage BMS monitoring and carry out primary response to Critical & Non-Critical Alarms. Must assist engineer’s performance of alarm diagnostic, generate RCA elevate, instigate repairs and process accordingly when they occur.
• Monitor and Perform Customer requests and elevate when required as per escalation procedure.

• Review, Dry-Run and Modify CyrusOne MOP’s, EOP’s and SOP’s to reduce Human Error and ensure 100% uptime of the site.

• Must maintain a minimum of HVAP Status and relevant qualifications whilst in the role, perform switching on occasion and cover out of hours support when customer contracts dictate.
• Review and assign Reactive / Remedial works as raised on ticketing system on all Critical Equipment and building infrastructure.
• Provide onsite cover for DCM during holidays or sickness.
• Provide Technical responses to Field Service bulletins from customers or equipment manufacturers.

Equipment and building infrastructure to engineering team

• Ensure that RFCs are carried out following Change Management Process. Review of sub-contractors’ RAMS, competency records, and company QHSE requirements prior to PTW/ATW and customer QHSE control procedures.
• Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as client site policies, procedures and working arrangements, as required. Including raising and escalating of hazards when raised by staff.

• Accountable to Data Centre Manager.
• This post holder does not have any directly reporting staff however the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the 3rd party maintenance company and ensuring compliance to CyrusOne Policies and Procedures.
• This post carries no direct budgetary responsibility.

Education

• Recognised formal Electrical or Mechanical training
• Knowledge of operation of critical building infrastructure (e.g., electrical, mechanical and fabric)

• Experience working in Data Center Operations.

Circumstances

• Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.

• Work and travel between European Facilities for training as required.
• Suitable candidate shall consent to a Background Check compliant with LOPDGDD and GDPR.
