Allegis Group in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join a hands-on, structured data center environment. You will prepare, stage, and deploy equipment, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot hardware components following established SOPs.

Ideal candidates have basic hardware knowledge, at least 1 year of IT equipment support experience, and are currently residing in Madrid. No relocation support is provided.

Formación

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and internal components.
• 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technologies.
• Proven experience with troubleshooting and replacing defective hardware components.
• Previous data center experience is considered a strong advantage.
• Must already be living in Spain, Madrid (no relocation support available for this role).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform start-ups and shutdowns of data center equipment such as racks, hard drives, switches, and servers, following detailed instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures
• Perform post-deployment quality checks, ensuring grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling meet safety requirements, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs)
• Carry out diagnostics and troubleshooting according to standard procedures, quickly identifying root causes and replacing faulty components (e.g., motherboards, CPUs, IPUs, memory)
• Decommission hardware for basic changes and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, in line with documented processes and with minimal supervision
• Communicate clearly, document work, and report or escalat
