Job summary

IREN, a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, is seeking a Cost Controller for the Badajoz Data Center project. The role focuses on cost visibility, governance, and timely reporting to support decision-making across Construction, Procurement, and Finance teams.

You will maintain cost baselines, track expenditures, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure financial targets are met during construction of the renewable-powered data center.

Qualifications

• At least 5–8 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or related fields.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of cost control, budgets, forecasts, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Experience with CBS, WBS, cost codes in large capital projects.
• Fluent in English; effective communication in an international project environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project cost baseline with budgets structured, coded, and allocated.
• Prepare and maintain cost forecasts and EAC based on spending and progress.
• Perform budget vs actual and forecast variance analyses and report findings.
• Track commitments, amendments, variations, and accruals in cost reports.
• Prepare periodic project cost reports and management dashboards.
