Sanofi is seeking a Data and AI Software Engineer Specialist in Barcelona to build the data and AI platform that empowers teams across the company. You will develop full-stack applications, APIs, and AI-powered tools inside the OneMesh Platform, collaborating with data engineers, ML practitioners, and product teams.

This role blends cloud-native development on OpenShift and AWS, Terraform, and modern tech like React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python FastAPI.

Formación

• Proven track record of building software products, backend systems, or cloud-native applications.
• Experience in internal platform teams or data-driven application development is a strong plus.
• Strong command of Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Python (FastAPI), Terraform, React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with AWS services, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redis, and CI/CD practices.

Responsabilidades

• Build full-stack applications and platform services across the OneMesh ecosystem using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python (FastAPI).
• Design and maintain robust APIs (REST and GraphQL) for data and AI capabilities integration.
• Implement AI and GenAI patterns including LLM APIs, RAG, and orchestration.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes) and AWS with GitOps and Terraform.
• Champion production-readiness with observability, security, logging, health checks, and dashboards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, ML practitioners, product teams, and stakeholders to translate platform capabilities into features.

Main responsibilities

• Build full-stack applications and platform services across the OneMesh ecosystem using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python (FastAPI) — from data platform UIs and internal developer tools to AI-powered applications and operational dashboards
• Design and maintain robust APIs (REST and GraphQL) that enable internal teams to discover, manage, and interact with data and AI capabilities, integrating cleanly into broader Sanofi digital products
• Implement AI and GenAI application patterns including LLM APIs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration, and evaluation frameworks, building reusable platform primitives that help other teams build faster and safer
• Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes) and AWS, following GitOps best practices and contributing to infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
• Champion production-readiness and observability by implementing security controls, audit logging, health checks, metrics dashboards, and alerting to ensure platform services are reliable, debuggable, and operationally sound
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated delivery, while contributing to code reviews, architectural discussions, and engineering standards
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams — partnering with data engineers, ML practitioners, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate platform capabilities into polished, user-friendly features

About you

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience: Proven track record of building software products, backend systems, platform services, or cloud-native applications; experience in internal platform teams, product engineering, or data-driven application development is a strong plus
• Technical skills: Strong command of Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Python (FastAPI), Terraform, React, Node.js, and TypeScript; familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, Bedrock), Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Redis, message brokering, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and GenAI/LLM application patterns is a meaningful advantage
• Mindset: Versatile and adaptable, with a strong ownership mentality and service-oriented approach; comfortable working across multiple products simultaneously and thriving in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
• Collaboration: Excellent communicator in English who can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and enjoys working across diverse, cross-functional teams

The salary range for this position is :€49.600,00 - €74.400,00 Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
