Metyis, a global firm with offices in Madrid, invites motivated interns to work across Data Science and Data Engineering tracks. You will tackle client analytics problems, apply ML concepts, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-growing environment.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a quantitative Master program, fluent in English, and eager to gain hands-on experience in data pipelines, modelling, and governance while receiving mentorship and exposure to international projects.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a quantitative Master with a focus on data analysis.
• Knowledge of statistics, programming (R, Python), ML and visualization tools.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Analytical work experience is a plus.
• Pursuing a degree in computer science or software engineering for Data Engineer track.
• Strong programming skills in Python/Java/Scala.

Responsabilidades

• Solve data science and analytics problems for clients.
• Apply theoretical machine learning knowledge in practice.
• Balance taking on tasks from the project.
• Collaborate with strategists, data engineers, data analysts and data scientists.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform and load data.
• Assist with data warehousing and data modelling activities.
• Create data-driven solutions to support business needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts and software engineers to implement data requirements.
• Implement data quality and data governance processes.
• Participate in code reviews and stay up to date with latest data engineering practices.

What you will do

As a Data Science

• Solve Data Science and Analytics problems that we face at clients
• Apply theoretical machine learning knowledge and analytics in practice
• Must balance taking on tasks from the project

As a Data Engineer

• Assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines to extract, transform and load data from various sources
• Helping with data warehousing and data modelling activities
• Participating in the creation of data-driven solutions to support business needs
• Collaborating with data scientists, business analysts and software engineers to understand and implement data requirements
• Implementing data quality and data governance processes
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedbackStaying up to date with the latest developments in data engineering technologies and best practices
  

What you´ll bring

Data Science

• Currently enrolled in a quantitative Master with a focus on data analysis (e.g., econometrics, mathematics, physics, business analytics and other exact sciences)
• Knowledge of statistical concepts, programming languages (e.g., R, Python), machine learning and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, R, Shiny)
• Curiosity together with the ability to make data driven decisions
• Theoretical frameworks from your Bachelors and Masters
• Professional fluency in English
• Any analytical work experience is a plus
  

Data Engineer

• Pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for Data: A strong interest in data and technology, and a desire to learn and grow as a data engineer
