Roche is seeking a D2P Data & Analytics Technical Product Owner in Madrid to partner with the Product Manager and drive Data, Analytics and AI solutions across the Demand-to-Pay domain.

You will translate priorities into roadmaps and requirements, work with architects, data engineers and data scientists, and oversee Snowflake, SAP BW/ERP, GenAI, and data integration efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Data & Analytics or similar techno‑functional roles.
  • Experience working with Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable processes.
  • Experience delivering Data, Analytics or AI solutions in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience working with external delivery partners or vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Translate product strategy and business needs into a clear roadmap, backlog, requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Act as the day-to-day bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners.
  • Bring strong functional knowledge across Procurement, Accounts Payable processes.
  • Work closely with architects, data engineers and data scientists to shape scalable Data & AI solutions.
  • Provide techno‑functional oversight across Snowflake, Talend, data integration, analytics, GenAI and AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Review and challenge solution designs, technical approaches, estimates and delivery proposals.
  • Manage external delivery partners and vendors, ensuring delivery quality, capacity and performance.
  • Ensure services meet agreed Roche SLAs, KPIs, quality and operational standards, and drive corrective actions where needed.
  • Manage delivery risks, dependencies, incidents, technical debt and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor team members and delivery partners to strengthen Data, Analytics and AI capabilities.

The Position

The D2P Data & Analytics Technical Product Owner partners with the Product Manager to drive Data, Analytics and AI solutions across the Demand-to-Pay (D2P) domain.

This role combines product ownership, business analysis, techno-functional solution oversight, delivery and vendor management, and service management. You will translate business priorities into product roadmaps, requirements and scalable Data & AI solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, data scientists and delivery partners. In this role, you will apply a deep knowledge of Procurement and Accounts Payable processes, alongside hands‑on experience utilizing key technologies like Snowflake, SAP BW/ERP, analytics platforms, GenAI, and AI‑driven automation. Furthermore, you will drive continuous improvement and team capability growth while maintaining high standards for service level agreements, delivery quality, non‑functional requirements, technical debt reduction, and vendor performance management.

Description of the area

The Demand to Pay (D2P) Data & Analytics area is responsible for driving the end‑to‑end Procurement, Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense Management Data & AI strategies, by translating Functional strategies into measurable business outcomes. This includes supporting data product management and providing comprehensive analytics for our key stakeholders - Global Procurement, Diagnostics Direct Procurement and RSS Operations. This work is based on the foundation of the Roche Group Data & AI strategies leveraging various global platforms.

Job Responsibilities

Technical & Functional Skills
  • A fundamental working knowledge of SAP BW and ERPs/ S4 along the side understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), eg Procurement, supplier management, purchasing, invoicing, payments and Accounts Payable processes.
  • Proven expertise with non-ERP Procurement systems and their seamless integration with enterprise ERP platforms is essential for this techno‑functional position.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake along with deep familiarity in SQL and API‑based data integration.
  • Awareness of modern Data & AI concepts, including GenAI, RAG, semantic search and AI agents.
  • Ability to understand and challenge solution designs, data models, integrations and technical approaches.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and delivery priorities.
