Penta Consulting seeks a Technical Trainer with strong cybersecurity expertise to design and deliver engaging training programmes. You will run instructor‑led sessions, webinars, hands‑on labs, and workshops focusing on Palo Alto Networks, F5, and similar vendors.

This remote role includes occasional travel to Madrid, Spain. You will create lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials, mentor learners, and stay current with industry trends to help customers build practical security skills.

• 2+ years as Technical Trainer or hands-on technical role such as Network/Security Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Trainer with expertise in Cybersecurity technologies to deliver engaging and effective technical training programmes. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing talent, and helping individuals build the technical skills required to succeed in today's evolving IT landscape. As a Technical Trainer, you will possess strong hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, particularly solutions from Palo Alto Networks, F5, or similar vendors. You will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality training sessions, workshops, webinars, and hands-on labs to a range of learners, ensuring they develop the skills and confidence needed to meet customer and business requirements. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts and create an engaging learning environment for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training sessions, webinars, workshops, and one-to-one coaching.
• Conduct remote and on-site training programmes as required.
• Develop and utilise a variety of training materials, including lesson plans, practical labs, exercises, and learning activities.
• Provide professional guidance and functional supervision to students throughout the learning process.
• Assess and evaluate trainee performance in classroom, laboratory, and workplace environments.
• Conduct learner assessments to identify development needs and ensure alignment with job requirements.
• Monitor learner engagement, attendance, course completion, and training outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting related to training delivery and student progress.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity technologies, products, and industry trends.
• Ensure training content remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Support customers and stakeholders by delivering high-quality training experiences that drive technical capability and business success.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Technical Trainer position or a hands-on technical role such as Network Engineer, Security Engineer, or similar.
• Proven experience delivering training on Palo Alto Networks, F5, or other cybersecurity technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security, cybersecurity concepts, and enterprise IT environments.
• Experience designing and delivering technical training programmes for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of modern training methodologies, tools, and learning platforms.
• Ability to create structured learning paths and complete training courses.
• Strong presentation and public-speaking skills with the confidence to engage groups of varying sizes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
• Strong organisational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in creating training documentation and learning materials.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable.

Preferred Certifications

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• F5 Certified Administrator (F5-CA)
• Other recognised cybersecurity or networking certifications
