Vicomtech, un centro privado de I+D situado en Donostia-San Sebastián y Bilbao, busca un Investigador/a en Ciberseguridad con maestría universitaria y experiencia en gestión de equipos dinámicos. Participarás en proyectos de ciberseguridad y definirás nuevas propuestas junto al equipo de investigación.

El candidato combinará investigación con transferencia de resultados, publicar en revistas técnicas y mantener relaciones efectivas con clientes, socios e investigadores, en un entorno estimulante

Formación

• Maestría universitaria en ciberseguridad u otro campo relacionado.
• Experiencia en gestionar y coordinar equipos pequeños y dinámicos.
• Conocimiento técnico en tecnologías de nuestro Body of Knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Participarás en proyectos de ciberseguridad y definición de nuevas propuestas.
• Publicar resultados a través de publicaciones científicas.
• Desarrollar y mantener comunicaciones efectivas con clientes, socios e investigadores.
• Conducir investigación en entornos estimulantes.

Cybersecurity Researcher

Investigador/a en Ciberseguridad

Vicomtech (www.vicomtech.org) is a private Applied Research Center specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing, and Interaction, located in Donostia-San Sebastián and Bilbao. It has a strong national presence in applying cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence technologies across multiple sectors. We are members of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA) and GraphicsVision.ai, an international network specializing in Computer Graphics (https://graphicsvision.ai/ ).

We are looking for a profile with a university master's degree in a related field, who brings experience in managing and coordinating small, dynamic teams, and has a technical background in the technologies of our Body of Knowledge.

The ideal candidate will share in the department's research and transfer results, directly participating in cybersecurity projects and in defining new proposals within Vicomtech. Additionally, they will focus their research activity through scientific publications and must deploy relational and communication skills to connect effectively with clients, partners, researchers, and internal teams, demonstrating a strong willingness to work in stimulating and challenging environments.

Candidates must have:

• Scientific/academic track record in cybersecurity.
• Knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and low-level programming, especially in the industrial sector.
• Tactical thinking, creative problem-solving, and the ability to align different objectives.
• Ability to make operational decisions and design Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for projects, even outside their current field of knowledge.
• High relational skills and empathy. Ability to understand and make oneself understood by scientific and technical staff from different backgrounds (not always from academia).
• Solid research management skills and experience.
