Job summary

Hack in Hire is seeking a Cybersecurity Platform Engineer to join our client's offices in Spain. You will maintain and develop security tools, automate Linux and Windows infrastructure, and design patch management and pipelines within Azure DevOps.

Ongoing collaboration with security, networking, architecture, and DevOps teams is essential. Strong Linux, Azure, EDR, and SIEM experience, plus English at least B2, are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience in IT infrastructure roles.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux (RHEL) – automation, troubleshooting, performance tuning.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server – Active Directory, Group Policy, automation.
• Experience with automation tools and technologies (Ansible, PowerShell DSC, Bash/PowerShell scripting).
• Strong knowledge of Azure and CI/CD practices (Azure DevOps Pipelines, YAML).
• Hands-on experience with EDR solutions, preferably Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Elastic, ArcSight, Chronicle).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written, minimum B2).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop security tools.
• Implement and develop new security solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation.
• Perform maintenance and development of Linux (RHEL) and Windows-based infrastructure.
• Design and optimize patch management processes and automation solutions.
• Create complex pipelines and integrations within Azure DevOps / Azure environment.
• Collaborate with security, networking, architecture, and DevOps teams.
