Formación

Cybersecurity Analyst

Resumen del rol

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in protecting the digital assets and sensitive information of the organization. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats to ensure business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires a proactive approach to risk management and collaboration with cross-functional teams to strengthen the overall security posture.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to promptly detect and respond to potential threats or breaches.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Analyze security incidents and provide detailed incident reports, including root cause analysis and recommendations for remediation.
• Implement and maintain security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to develop, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and best practices to proactively enhance security measures.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff to promote a culture of security across the organization.
• Support regulatory compliance efforts by ensuring security controls align with industry standards and legal requirements.

Requisitos

• 1–5 years of proven experience in a cybersecurity analyst or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security concepts, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and incident response.
• Proficiency in using security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze complex security issues and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
