Job summary

isolutions in Barcelona is seeking a Cyber Defense Analyst to monitor and investigate security incidents across customer environments, leveraging Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID within a global team.

You will engage in the full incident lifecycle, deliver actionable reports, and help train junior analysts, with hybrid options from Barcelona or remote work across Spain.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Cyber Security Analyst/SOC experience.
• Knowledge of EDR/XDR and Microsoft security tools.
• Understanding of threats and incident response lifecycle.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• Fluent English; EU citizenship or Spanish work visa.

Responsibilities

• Handle and analyze security incidents across clients' environments.
• Perform containment and eradication actions.
• Contribute to the full incident kill chain (triage, analysis, containment, reporting).
• Prepare reports for stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with Detection & Response services and mentors.
• Support training of junior analysts in Spain and Switzerland.

As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will monitor and investigate security incidents across our customers' environments, working in a Microsoft security ecosystem with tools like Microsoft Defender, Sentinel or Entra ID, with a diverse team of Cyber Security professionals, in order to investigate suspicious behavior and support effective containment and remediation.

This is what you get up for in the morning:

• Handle and analyze security incidents
• Perform containment actions and eradication.
• Participate in the full kill chain of the incident - triage, analysis, containment, report, etc...
• Prepare and develop reports for various stakeholders

• Contribute to the training of junior members based in both Spain and Switzerland

We would like you to bring:

• At least 1-3 years of experience as Cyber Security Analyst in a Security Operations Center
• Experience (both in theory and practice) with EDR, XDR, MS Defender, Microsoft Sentinel
• Experience in optimizing and improving reporting quality
• Good insight and understanding of current threats and the cyber-attack process, with appropriate knowledge of related frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Security Incident Management
• Solid understanding of Windows, log analysis and detection & response technology
• Good analytical skills, fast comprehension, networked thinking
• Accurate, reliable, independent and flexible way of working
• A university degree in computer science or similar / equivalent. Relevant certifications as a plus
• Fluent English (C1 level or higher), as it is our main language for internal communication and client interactions.
• EU citizenship or Spanish work visa.
• You are based in Spain and you are open to working remotely or in a hybrid model from our Barcelona office.
