GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for the Remote Operations Center in Barcelona to oversee offshore wind asset operation, both during commissioning and service phases. The role requires experience with wind turbines, SCADA tools, and strong communication skills, with willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona/EU work eligibility.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

About the role

As a ROC Technical Lead, you support the safe and efficient operation of advanced offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. You play a key role across both commissioning and service phases, helping ensure turbines perform reliably throughout their lifecycle.
You work closely with site teams and engineering experts to detect, analyze, and resolve technical issues, ensuring stable operations and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

What you bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector
• Hands‑on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

• Control room or remote operations experience
• Offshore wind or commissioning experience
• Exposure to advanced turbine control systems (e.g., MarkVIe or similar)

Ways of working

You work on a rotating weekday shift schedule (Monday to Friday), covering morning and afternoon shifts.
You also take part in an on‑call rotation for occasional weekend and public holiday support.
