A leading engineering firm located in Tarragona seeks a Financial Analyst with extensive experience in cost analysis and financial reporting. This role involves developing cost analysis models, preparing variance analysis reports, and collaborating with operations and finance teams to improve profitability margins. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance and at least 7 years of experience, along with proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Remote work is available, and the position is full-time.

Formación

• Proven track record in cost analysis, financial analysis or similar roles.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience required.
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACA) preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Perform comprehensive cost analysis across various departments, projects and business units
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve sophisticated cost analysis models and forecasting tools
• Prepare detailed variance analysis reports and financial projections for management review
• Create regular cost reports with actionable insights and recommendations

Strategic Cost Management

• Identify and analyse cost trends, variances and cost-saving opportunities across the organization
• Conduct comprehensive cost‑benefit analysis for new initiatives, projects and strategic investments
• Collaborate closely with operations, sales and finance teams to analyse and improve profitability margins
• Support management in making data‑driven decisions regarding resource allocation

Budget & Forecasting

• Actively participate in budget preparation and annual financial forecasting processes
• Monitor budget performance and provide insights on deviations and corrective actions
• Support audits and internal control processes by ensuring data accuracy and compliance

Qualifications :

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in cost analysis, financial analysis or similar roles
• Proven track record in financial reporting and analysis

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, macros and complex formulas
• Experience with data analysis tools and statistical software
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar platforms)

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial information
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities

Language Requirements

• Native Spanish proficiency required
• Professional proficiency in English (written and verbal)
