The Communications Manager is responsible for driving brand awareness and customer engagement through strategic communication planning, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels. The role involves developing and implementing the overall communication strategy for owned and partner brands, managing press relations, events, influencer partnerships, and social media communication strategies. The Communications Manager will also supervise content creation for both digital and offline channels, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Communication Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for both owned and partner brands, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Design communication plans that boost brand awareness, customer engagement, and overall visibility.
Press & Media Relations:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry professionals.
- Manage media outreach, press releases, and media kits, ensuring positive coverage for the company and its products.
- Oversee the organization of press events, influencer partnerships, and media campaigns.
Event & Influencer Campaign Management:
- Plan and execute events (both physical and digital) to enhance brand visibility and strengthen customer engagement.
- Develop and manage partnerships with influencers, ensuring campaigns are aligned with the company’s brand messaging and objectives.
Social Media & Online Communication:
- Develop and manage social media communication strategies to foster positive customer relationships and engagement.
- Coordinate with the digital marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all digital platforms.
Content Creation & Supervision:
- Supervise content creation for all communication channels, ensuring brand consistency and relevance across digital and offline media.
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to produce compelling content for campaigns, press releases, and promotional material.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Monitor media coverage, analyze the performance of PR campaigns, social media activities, and events to assess their effectiveness.
- Generate regular performance reports and insights, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
Brand Consistency:
- Ensure that all communications are consistent with the company’s brand guidelines and voice, regardless of the medium or platform.
- Work closely with the marketing, trade, and visual merchandising teams to align messaging across all internal and external communication efforts.
- Lead and manage a Communication Specialist who will support the execution of communication strategies.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, providing mentorship and guidance to the communications team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or a similar field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in communication management, with a preference for experience in retail or cosmetics.
Skills:
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful PR and communication strategies.
- Strong network of media and influencer contacts.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Creative thinker with strong strategic planning abilities.
- Proficient with media monitoring and PR tools.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams.
- Excellent understanding of brand consistency and cross-channel communication.
