J-Tec Material Handling seeks a Commissioning Engineer to participate in start-up and validation of industrial installations on national and international projects. The role is mainly based on customer sites, performing verification, testing and validation of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems.

This field-oriented position plays a key role in the final project phase, with extensive travel across Europe and beyond.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Automation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLCs (S7-1200/1500) and TIA Portal.
• Experience with PROFINET/PROFIBUS/Modbus and industrial networks.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Commissioning Engineer to participate in the start-up and validation of industrial installations in both national and international projects. The selected candidate will be mainly based on customer sites, carrying out verification, testing, and validation activities of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.

This is a highly field-oriented position, playing a key role in the final phase of projects.

Main Responsibilities

• Execution of signal testing in the field (digital and analog inputs/outputs).
• Verification of industrial communications between equipment and systems.
• Support during the commissioning of industrial installations.
• Checking and validation of plant instrumentation.
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Execution of minor electrical modifications in control cabinets when required.
• Occasional connection to Siemens PLCs for basic checks and diagnostics (Tia Portal).
• Coordination with engineering teams and clients during testing phases.

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous experience in international commissioning projects.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus).
• Ability to quickly diagnose field issues.
• Experience in sectors such as energy, food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Autonomy and strong problem-solving skills in high-demand environments.
• Ability to manage small work teams.

Your profile

• Technical background in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar (Bachelor's degree).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Previous experience in industrial environments (commissioning or maintenance).
• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs (S7-1200 / S7-1500) at connection and basic diagnostic level (Tia Portal).
• Strong electrical knowledge: Reading and interpretation of electrical schematics and experience with electrical cabinets and signal distribution.
• Solid knowledge of industrial instrumentation.
• High / very high level of English is essential for continuous international work.
• Full availability for continuous travel (Europe, USA, and other international destinations).
