Commercial & Marketing Assistant – RealMexican (Valencia, Spain)

🕐 Part-time (20%) – approx. 8 hours per week (2 half days)

We are a family-run company dedicated to bringing authentic Mexican gastronomy to Europe.

We collaborate with supermarkets, restaurants and distributors to deliver the real taste of Mexico — from nixtamalized corn and traditional sauces to our iconic drinks and ingredients.

At RealMexican, we are a small multicultural team with a trust-based and flexible environment, focused on creativity, results and meaningful growth.

This position is part of our core commercial and marketing team and will be contracted through our Spanish partner Mexican Gourmand, who manages our operations in Spain.

💼 The position

We are looking for a Commercial & Marketing Assistant to support our expansion in European markets — especially Scandinavia and Spain.

The role combines sales coordination, client communication, and marketing support.

It’s ideal for a proactive, organized and culturally curious person who enjoys connecting people, products and ideas.

You’ll work closely with our commercial director, helping prepare client materials, maintain our contact database, and assist in marketing initiatives that promote authentic Mexican food culture abroad.

As the company grows, this position may evolve in hours and responsibilities based on performance and initiative.

🎯 Main responsibilities
🤝 Commercial support
  • Assist in managing and updating our contact database (retail, food service, distributors).
  • Help prepare presentations, price lists and product offers for clients and partners.
  • Coordinate follow-ups with potential buyers and distributors in a polite, structured way.
  • Support communication with clients (emails, calls, or LinkedIn messages in English/Spanish).
  • Track samples, meetings and responses in our contact board.
📢 Marketing & communication
  • Help organize product photos, descriptions and visuals for commercial use.
  • Support in preparing content for social media, newsletters and presentations.
  • Collaborate in storytelling about Mexican ingredients, culture and sustainability.
  • Assist in event preparation (fairs, tastings, client meetings).
📊 Coordination & reporting
  • Maintain updated internal documents (catalogues, argument sheets, contact lists).
  • Prepare short summaries and reports on marketing or sales activities.
  • Coordinate small tasks with our designers, translators and logistics partners.
🧠 Requirements
  • Fluent Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Confident spoken English for client communication.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Good writing style — clear and friendly tone.
  • Attention to detail and a hands‑on attitude.
  • Interest in gastronomy, culture and international trade.
🌟 Valuable
  • Experience in sales coordination, marketing or communication.
  • Knowledge of food products or the retail/food service sector.
  • Basic use of Canva, Excel, or CRM/contact tracking tools.
  • Curiosity and ability to self‑learn new tools and systems.
