AST SpaceMobile is seeking a hands-on CNC Technician in Barcelona to operate HAAS milling machines, program CAMs with Inventor CAM, and support prototype and low-volume production. You will interpret engineering drawings, develop fixtures, and ensure quality in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a technical CNC background with at least 2 years of experience, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing

Formación

• Education: Technical degree, vocational training, or CNC-related certification.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred qualifications include HAAS CNC machines, Inventor CAM programming, prototype/low-volume production, fixture design, aerospace or high-precision manufacturing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and set up HAAS CNC milling machines independently.

Position Overview

We are seeking a CNC Technician to join our manufacturing team in Barcelona. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent operation of HAAS CNC milling machines, CAM programming, prototype machining, and supporting mechanical assembly activities. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is committed to precision, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently operate and set up HAAS CNC milling machines.
• Perform CAM programming using Inventor CAM as required.
• Manufacture prototypes and short production runs according to engineering specifications.
• Carry out modifications, rework, and repairs on machined components.
• Design, develop, and optimize workholding fixtures and tooling.
• Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and machining best practices.
• Support assembly operations across a variety of mechanical assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Education: Technical degree, vocational training, or certification in CNC Machining, Mechanical Manufacturing, Industrial Production, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing or workshop environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating HAAS CNC machines.
• Knowledge of Inventor CAM programming.
• Experience manufacturing prototypes and low‑volume production parts.
• Ability to design and develop fixtures, jigs, and tooling solutions.
• Experience in aerospace, satellite, high‑precision manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes.

• Ability to safely lift and move materials and components in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work an afternoon shift with flexibility to support peak workload periods as needed.
