Kollmorgen Automation AB seeks an experienced data center/network engineer to actively manage our data centers in Barcelona, Spain or Athens, Greece. A Master’s degree is required, and compensation is to be determined.

Responsibilities include maintaining secure data communications, troubleshooting LAN/WAN/firewalls, and setting up virtualization in Proxmox, KVM and VMware. The role requires strong TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Linux/Bash skills, plus experience with VPCs, load balancers, and CDNs.

Formación

• Experience administering and supporting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing and firewall concepts.
• Ability to document current site configurations and optimize server/topology designs.
• Hands-on with VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, and CDNs in hybrid cloud setups.
• Strong Linux and Bash skills to automate recurring tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and build reliable, secure, and efficient data networks across data centers.
• Troubleshoot network, LAN, WAN, and firewall environments daily.
• Set up and manage virtualization environments (Proxmox, KVM, VMware).
• Resolve tickets and diagnose issues while monitoring performance metrics.
• Install and support LANs, WANs, and corporate internet systems.
• Deploy, configure, and monitor network devices to ensure uptime.
• Collaborate on solutions with customers and internal teams.
