Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a Cloud Engineer – Deployment and Support to build, deploy and support enterprise infrastructure across Cloud. You will own deployments from provisioning to day-two operations within a global, regulated environment, contributing to secure, scalable infrastructure for business-critical applications.

Based in Sanofi's Digital Technology Service Quality team, you will automate with Terraform/ARM and configuration tools, manage incidents, changes, and observability, and ensure

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience deploying enterprise infrastructure at scale.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences) is a plus.
• Proficient in AWS or Azure, containers, and PaaS.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate enterprise infrastructure across AWS and Azure - landing zones, networks, compute, containers, databases, storage, and PaaS components.
• Automate using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and config mgmt tools (Ansible, Puppet) with repeatable, auditable deployments.
• Own incident and problem management - provide L2/L3 support, reduce MTTR with runbooks and RCA input.
• Execute and govern changes - raise, plan, and present at CAB with risk assessment and rollback procedures.
• Build observability - onboard CIs into Datadog and Splunk, define alerts, and build dashboards.
• Champion security and compliance - enforce baselines, least-privilege, patching, and vulnerability SLAs.

Main responsibilities

• Deploy and operate enterprise infrastructure across AWS and Azure - landing zones, virtual networks, compute, containers (Kubernetes), databases, storage, and PaaS components - from requirement through to validated production handover
• Automate everything using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet), ensuring deployments are repeatable, version-controlled, and auditable
• Own incident and problem management - provide L2/L3 support, drive down MTTR through structured troubleshooting and runbooks, and contribute to Root Cause Analysis for high-impact issues
• Execute and govern change - raise, plan, and represent infrastructure changes at the Change Advisory Board (CAB), with full risk assessment and rollback procedures
• Build observability - onboard CIs into Datadog and Splunk, define meaningful alerts, and build dashboards that give clear visibility of infrastructure health
• Champion security and compliance - enforce hardening baselines, least-privilege access, patch compliance, and vulnerability remediation SLAs across all supported infrastructure

About You

• Experience: Substantial hands-on experience deploying and supporting enterprise infrastructure in large-scale, global, multi-vendor environments; regulated industry background (pharma, life sciences) is a plus
• Cloud skills: Proficiency in AWS or Azure across computer, networking, storage, identity, and PaaS; hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes
• Automation tooling: Terraform (preferred), Ansible or equivalent; scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash; CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• ITSM & observability: ServiceNow (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB); strong ITIL/ITSM knowledge; Datadog and Splunk experience
• Soft skills: Ownership mindset, calm under pressure, rigorous around change control, clear communicator across technical and business audiences
• Languages: English required; additional languages a plus
