The Role

SBGM is looking for an Accounting Senior Analyst based out of Boadilla. As an Accounting Senior Analyst, you will lead a team responsible for monitoring the accounting processes of the offshore branches of Banco Santander. Your role will involve identifying enhancements, defining action plans, and overseeing the resolution of incidences. These functions will be performed at a global level for different units and in constant collaboration with stakeholders and clients in a dynamic environment. A strong digital mindset is essential, as you will combine accounting tasks with continuous process reengineering and tools improvement.

  • Monitoring of the accounting figures and the accounting processes.
  • Manage month-end closing process.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordination with offshore branch Finance teams.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.
  • Provide support during audits and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an auditor or managing accounting processes. (Required)
  • Experience with financial products, and a solid understanding of the accounting requirements. (Required)

Education

  • STEM profile or ADE/Economics with a strong digital mindset. (Required)

Languages

  • High level of English, both written and spoken. (Required)

Hard Skills

  • Digital mindset and knowledge or experience in SQL, Databricks, PowerBI. (Required)
