The successful candidate will teach Biology and Chemistry to A Level, delivering engaging, challenging and practical lessons in a high-performing international school.

King’s College School Murcia is seeking an enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified Science Teacher to join our dynamic and successful Science Department from January 2026. The successful candidate will be able to teach Biology and Chemistry to A Level, inspiring students through engaging, challenging and practical science lessons. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, committed to high academic standards and able to motivate students of different ages and abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach Biology and Chemistry up to and including A Level.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and differentiated lessons.
• Inspire students to develop a genuine interest in Science and encourage curiosity and independent thinking.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress effectively.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum and department.
• Make effective use of practical experiments and enquiry-based learning.
• Support students in achieving excellent academic outcomes.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its community.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Holds a relevant degree in Biology, Chemistry, Science or a related subject.
• Has an appropriate teaching qualification and relevant classroom experience.
• Is confident teaching both Biology and Chemistry through to A Level.
• Has high expectations of students and is committed to achieving excellent educational outcomes.
• Can create an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is enthusiastic, flexible and committed to professional development.
• Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and international school community.

Previous experience teaching within the British curriculum and/or A Level would be highly desirable.
