CARGO QHSSE MANAGER SPAIN

Job Title : Cargo QHSSE Manager Spain

Location : HQ Madrid

Reporting to : COO Cargo Spain

Summary :

The QHSSE Manager is responsible for aligning and embedding the Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental corporate policies for all Cargo Stations in Spain to meet all QHSSE requirements and obligations, always bearing in mind that local legislation prevails. Together with the stations QHSSE specialists, you implement the overall policy and observe and maintain the compliancy. With the ultimate goal to obtain sustainable, safe and healthy working environments with a minimum of accidents and environmental issues (zero target).

Responsibilities
  • Based on the global standards for Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Management, which are aligned with international industry standards (. ICAO, IGOM, ISAGO and ISO 9001 : 2015), you ensure adequate execution within the entire European organization.
  • You proactively support the different departments in creating a climate in which the employees are constantly developing on safety, environmental and quality awareness.
  • You stimulate people to perform better and take own responsibility. The focus is on continuous improvement, and it is your job to motivate and guide people and the organization in this.
  • You will monitor compliancy with guidelines and procedures, and you will address the organization where necessary.
  • You know how to include all stakeholders in safety awareness. Both with your internal colleagues and external stakeholders (governments, branch organizations, you know how to build a relationship of trust with quality and safety as a shared factor.
  • You see the possibilities for improvement, initiate optimization plans, make proposals and supervise an adequate implementation If needed.
  • You will develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to managers and employees at the local stations. Making everything future-proof and sustainable in the context of the QHSSE in accordance with the ambitions of the Cargo organization, demanding customers and changing laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in a logistic, hospitality or leisure management direction supplemented with training and courses specifically for the QHSSE topics.
  • 10 years of practical and strategical experience in QHSSE programs in a complex international logistic industry.
  • Labor Health official certification is an asset to be strongly considered.
  • Strong leadership skills and stakeholder experience in a managerial role.
  • Experience in complex international stakeholder management.
  • Driven QHSSE Manager, entrepreneurial and focussed on optimisation.
  • Experienced in sustainable change management projects to create leadership vision.
  • Experience in and knowledge of the leading continuous improvement programs.
  • You cope very well with stress, you are decisive, a clear communicator and you are result driven. You dare to take on a challenge.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Willing / Able to travel.
