Business Operations Manager
Background

BlackScale.Media powers advertisers in high-risk verticals (iGaming, Crypto, Dating, Nutra, Sweepstakes) and more with the full operational backbone needed to scale. Our clients rely on us not just for tech, tools and infrastructure, but for flawless execution, clean operations, airtight compliance and real-time financial visibility.

As we scale globally, the strength of our operations becomes a primary competitive advantage.

We are looking for a Business Operations Manager who runs HR, finance support, admin, governance, process, and operational discipline with an ownership mentality. Someone who can bring structure to chaos, create clarity where there is noise, and build a predictable, well-controlled operational engine.

Role Overview

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for optimising and scaling the internal operations of the company. This role integrates HR, Finance Support, Administration, Corporate Affairs, Compliance, and Business Process Improvement into one unified, performance-driven function.

Your mandate: build an operational environment where every department can execute at speed, with accuracy, reliability and compliance without bottlenecks, surprises or gaps.

You will report directly to the COO and operate as a central execution partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Delivery, Tech, and Client Success.

Key Responsibilities
1. HR, Finance & Admin Performance
  • Optimise HR, finance and general admin support to meet department-specific KPIs.
  • Build a high‑velocity support function with clear SLAs, predictable workflows and measurable outputs.
  • Ensure the organisation has the talent, structure and processes needed for scale.
2. Corporate Affairs, Governance & Compliance
  • Introduce and manage corporate affairs (legal, regulatory, banking, governance).
  • Maintain all company registrations, bank accounts, compliance obligations and required documentation.
  • Ensure the company operates cleanly and risk‑free in every jurisdiction.
3. Financial Control & Reporting
  • Strengthen visibility, accuracy and control of financial operations.
  • Own real‑time or near‑real‑time reporting dashboards for spend, cash flow, revenue tracking, forecasting and departmental budgets.
4. Business Process Improvement & SOP Ownership
  • Introduce and manage company‑wide process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all business‑critical SOPs are documented, standardised, updated and actually followed across every department.
  • Build a culture of operational discipline, accountability and continuous optimisation.
5. Executive‑Level Reporting & Dashboards

Build dashboard views for:

  • company performance
  • operational health
  • high‑priority projects
  • dependencies, risks, and blockers
  • department KPI achievement
6. Cross‑Functional Operations Leadership
  • Work across Sales, Marketing, Tech, Finance, Delivery and Client Success to remove friction and accelerate execution.
  • Manage special projects that improve efficiency, reduce cost or open operational capacity.
  • Drive operational alignment across all teams.
What Success Looks Like in This Role

You will be measured on your ability to deliver the following core KPIs:

  • HR, finance and admin performance improved and aligned to departmental KPIs.
  • Corporate affairs established and functioning with clean legal, regulatory, governance and banking management.
  • Finance visibility and reporting delivered in real‑time or near‑real‑time.
  • All business‑critical SOPs documented, implemented and actively used across the company.
  • Company‑wide process improvements implemented to reduce inefficiency and increase execution speed.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in Operations, HR Operations, Finance Ops, or Business Administration, ideally in SaaS, advertising, high‑risk operations or fast‑growing tech.
  • Strong understanding of organisational structures, compliance, governance, and internal controls.
  • Skilled in financial tracking, workflow design, resource allocation, and process optimisation.
  • High ownership mentality, you see problems before others do, and you fix them.
  • Obsessed with clarity, accuracy, structure, and accountability.
  • Systems‑driven thinker with the ability to operationalise strategy at speed.
