At Globachem, we're looking for a Business Developer Innovations with deep roots in the crop protection industry to help us grow our footprint in Southern Europe.
Responsibilities
- Commercialize Globachem's own developed innovative crop protection products in the different South‑European countries.
- Provide market insights, map competition and competing products.
- Build a strong technical basis and understanding of our innovations, and transform that knowledge into compelling use recommendations.
- Lead pre‑launch initiatives and support distributors to ensure successful product introductions through demo trials, technical training and presentations.
- Maintain a solid network of distributors, CROs, advisors and industry influencers in at least Spain and Italy, and build such a network in other South‑European countries.
- Coordinate annual trial plans to meet regulatory, crop safety, compatibility and sales requirements.
- Represent Globachem at local congresses and symposiums.
- With the responsible sales manager, select distribution partners and set pricing.
- Work closely with colleagues from Sales & Marketing and across other departments such as R&D, Product Development, Regulatory and Supply Chain.
- Report to the Business Development Manager at our Headquarters in Belgium.
Key skills and qualifications
- Degree in Agronomy, Bio‑engineering or any related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in a commercial role in crop protection and experience in launching new products.
- Fluent in Spanish or Italian (native level) and English; other languages are a plus.
- Based in the South of Europe (Spain or Italy) and flexible to travel frequently to other South‑European countries or to the headquarters in Belgium.
- Strong communicator with excellent negotiation skills.
- Strategic and commercial approach in managing projects.
- Hands‑on self‑starter driven by innovation.
- Team player with a growth mindset.
