Bryden Wood seeks a talented Structural BIM Technologist to join our Barcelona team. You will develop structural drawings and BIM models, maintaining project libraries and aligning with BW standards. You will audit models and help implement BIM workflows across multidisciplinary projects, including data centres and cutting-edge facilities.

The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, collaboration with engineers, and ability to work in a fast-growing environment in Spain.

Formación

• Experience in BIM environments using Revit Structures for modelling and drafting.
• Engineering/Architecture background or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication skills, Spanish helpful but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and develop structural drawings, BIM models, and related documents.
• Maintain library of families and create new families per BW standards.
• Audit models for Bryden Wood/project requirements.
• Contribute to BIM workflows, quality plan, and data management.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce structural information and drawings.

We are seeking a talented Structural BIM Technologist to join our expanding team in Barcelona (Spain). Our perfect match would be a proactive person with a good eye for drawings, BIM models and aesthetics; someone who wants to learn and keep up with developments in software and technology.

Essential requirements

• Experience of working in projects (1-3 years) with BIM working environment roles, within Revit Structures modelling and drafting as core responsibility.
• Studies and education on Engineering (Structural / Civil), Architecture, Building Engineering or country-origin equivalent.
• Excellent English communications skills, both written and spoken (Spanish is a point, but not a must)
• Candidates must be fully entitled to work and legally eligible to work in Spain, and willing to relocate into Barcelona in case is not current base location.
• Good understanding of steel and concrete structures design (your role won't include calculations) expanding to detailing & reinforcement.
• Good understanding and experience of working with Revit features (templates, filters, design options, phases, model quantities schedule, 3D rebar and rebar schedules)

About the Role

• To prepare and to develop structural drawings, BIM models, images and other documents relating to the design
• Maintain project-specific library of families and develop new families as required along with other project-specific contents based on BW or Client standards.
• Carry out model auditing to make sure all models comply with Bryden Wood / project requirements
• Deep understanding of project BEP. Taking the responsibility to keep it up to date when performing Project BIM Lead specific project role.
• Work with project teams to develop and implement project-specific BIM workflows, Quality BIM plan and data management
• Work with Engineers and liaise with internal and external project teams to produce structural information modelling and drawing production on projects as needed to deliver projects successfully
• Take responsibility for the draft production and delivery of structural information, later on, it will be through QA internal workflows.
