Bryden Wood are seeking a Structural BIM Technologist to join our expanding Barcelona team. You will develop structural drawings, BIM models and related documents, focusing on Revit Structures modelling and detailing for large-scale infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of BIM project experience, engineering education, strong English communication, and the willingness to relocate to Barcelona.

Formación

• 1–3 years in BIM-focused project roles with Revit Structures modelling/drafting.
• Engineering/Architecture/Building Engineering education or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication (Spanish helpful but not required).
• Eligible to work in Spain and willing to relocate to Barcelona if needed.
• Strong understanding of steel and concrete structures; detailing & reinforcement.
• Familiarity with Revit features (templates, filters, design options, phases, schedules).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and develop structural drawings, BIM models, images and related design documents.
• Maintain and expand project libraries of families and project contents.
• Carry out model auditing to ensure compliance with Bryden Wood standards.
• Keep BEP up to date and contribute as BIM Lead on projects.
• Develop and implement project-specific BIM workflows, QA plans, and data management.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce modelling and drawing outputs.
• Oversee draft production and delivery within QA workflows.

• Experience of working in projects (1-3 years) with BIM working environment roles, within Revit Structures modelling and drafting as core responsibility.
• Studies and education on Engineering (Structural / Civil), Architecture, Building Engineering or country-origin equivalent.
• Excellent English communications skills, both written and spoken (Spanish is a point, but not a must)
• Candidates must be fully entitled to work and legally eligible to work in Spain, and willing to relocate into Barcelona in case is not current base location.
• Good understanding of steel and concrete structures design (your role won’t include calculations) expanding to detailing & reinforcement.
• Good understanding and experience of working with Revit features (templates, filters, design options, phases, model quantities schedule, 3D rebar and rebar schedules)

About the Role:

• To prepare and to develop structural drawings, BIM models, images and other documents relating to the design
• Maintain project-specific library of families and develop new families as required along with other project-specific contents based on BW or Client standards.
• Carry out model auditing to make sure all models comply with Bryden Wood / project requirements
• Deep understanding of project BEP. Taking the responsibility to keep it up to date when performing Project BIM Lead specific project role.
• Work with project teams to develop and implement project-specific BIM workflows, Quality BIM plan and data management
• Work with Engineers and liaise with internal and external project teams to produce structural information modelling and drawing production on projects as needed to deliver projects successfully
• Take responsibility for the draft production and delivery of structural information, later on, it will be through QA internal workflows.
