Talan Group is seeking a Senior Backend Developer for a remote position based in Málaga. You will work on large-scale, data-intensive projects in a regulated financial environment, focusing on backend development with Java and OOP technologies.

The ideal candidate will have senior experience in Object-Oriented Programming, strong SQL skills with Oracle and PostgreSQL, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes. This is a permanent, full-time contract with benefits including private medical insurance and training opportunities.

• Senior experience in Object‑Oriented Programming (Java – Expert level).
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL.
• Solid experience with Git and GitHub (Advanced).
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes.
• Proven background in enterprise‑scale backend systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain backend components using Java and OOP principles.
• Build and optimize SQL queries over large datasets (Oracle / PostgreSQL).
• Work with Data Lake environments and data integration flows.
• Contribute to microservices architectures (Spring Boot).
• Collaborate in CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions and Kubernetes.

Job Description

You will join a senior technical team working on large-scale, data-intensive platforms in a regulated financial environment. The project focuses on backend development using OOP technologies, strong interaction with Data Lake ecosystems, and complex SQL-based data processing, within a modern microservices and DevOps‑oriented architecture.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop and maintain backend components using Java and OOP principles
• Build and optimize SQL queries over large datasets (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Work with Data Lake environments and data integration flows
• Contribute to microservices architectures (Spring Boot)
• Collaborate in CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions and Kubernetes
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical decision‑making
• Interact with functional teams in Transactional Regulatory Reporting contexts

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Must:

• Senior experience in Object‑Oriented Programming (Java – Expert level)
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle (PL/SQL) and PostgreSQL
• Solid experience with Git and GitHub (Advanced)
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes
• Proven background in enterprise‑scale backend systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with Amazon S3 and Elastic
• Microservices with Spring Boot on OpenShift
• Messaging systems such as Kafka
• DevOps culture and tooling
• Agile environments (Jira, Confluence)
• Business exposure to Transactional Regulatory Reporting
