Una empresa busca un Ingeniero de Proximidad experimentado para un contrato inicial de 12 meses con posibilidad de extensión. El candidato ideal tiene de 6 a 8 años de experiencia en soluciones de respaldo, gestión de vulnerabilidades y virtualización. Se requiere independencia en el trabajo y fluidez en inglés para colaborar en entornos técnicos críticos, apoyando la infraestructura empresarial con un enfoque híbrido, 3 días en la oficina y 2 días en remoto.

Formación

• Experiencia en soluciones de respaldo (Druva, Commvault, Avamar).
• Conocimientos en sistemas de gestión de parches y vulnerabilidades.
• Proficiencia en Linux, UNIX y Windows.

Responsabilidades

• Soporte técnico a la infraestructura empresarial.
• Implementación y automatización de soluciones de respaldo.
• Colaboración en un entorno de trabajo híbrido.

Mon–Thurs: 09:00–18:30

Fri: 09:00–15:00

We are currently seeking an experienced Proximity Engineer for a long-term freelance engagement. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with 6–8 years of hands-on experience in backup solutions, patching and vulnerability management, virtualization, and automation. You'll be part of a critical technical function supporting enterprise-level infrastructure and tooling.

Key Responsibilities & Technical Requirements

• You should have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in:
• Backup solutions such as Druva, Commvault, Avamar, or similar.
• Patching and vulnerability systems at both technical and management levels (e.g. Altiris, SUSE Manager, SCCM, WSUS, Nessus, Tenable, Wiz).
• Virtualization technologies like Nutanix, VMware, VxRail, and exposure to AWS.
• Operating systems: Proficiency across Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments.
• Automation tools: Especially Ansible, as well as scripting/programming capabilities.
• Familiarity with shared data centre infrastructure, middleware, and database technologies is advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud technologies is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.

Ideal Profile

We are looking for a self-driven, experienced professional who can work independently and collaboratively. Experience administering Altiris will be a strong advantage.

Engagement Type: Freelance / Contract

Duration: 12 months initially, with a high likelihood of extension

Location: Hybrid working (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Schedule: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
