B. Braun Melsungen AG is hiring a Backend Software Developer (.NET) in Barcelona. You will own and evolve backend services using C# and .NET Core, design PostgreSQL schemas including time-series data, and implement decoupled systems with message brokers.

You will participate in agile ceremonies, and use Jira and Git for seamless collaboration. Strong RESTful API experience and advanced Git skills are required. Bonus skills include DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Core Development & Responsibilities

• Backend Expert: Own and evolve backend services using C# and .NET Core (.NET 6/8+).
• Data Architecture: Design and optimize schemas in PostgreSQL, including experience or strong interest in Time Series Data (e.g., TimescaleDB).
• Asynchronous Messaging: Implement and maintain decoupled systems using Message Brokers (generic concepts of queues, topics, and pub/sub).
• Agile Delivery: Active participation in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies, ensuring high-quality delivery and accurate estimations.
• Collaboration: Use Jira for task management and Git (GitHub/Bitbucket) for robust version control, including code reviews and branch management.

Technical Requirements (Mandatory)

• Language/Framework: Deep proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
• API Design: Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Database: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL (Relational design and performance).
• Version Control: Advanced Git skills (GitFlow, Rebasing, Conflict resolution).
• Agile: Previous experience in agile teams and tools (Jira).

Technical Competencies (Recommended / Good to Have)

• DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with GitHub Actions for automated workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform for environment provisioning.
• Cloud Native: Basic understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker containerization.
• Messaging: Experience with any Message Broker (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Service Bus).
• Observability: Experience monitoring applications (e.g., Application Insights, ELK, or similar).
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to solve complex technical challenges with clean, maintainable code (SOLID).
• Team Player: Proactive communication and readiness to support the team's growth.
• Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving technical requirements.
• Language: Fluent in Spanish; English is highly valued for technical documentation and collaboration.
