Job Overview:

We are looking for a Backend/AI Engineer with at least three years' experience designing and building cloud-native back-end systems, and hands-on experience integrating AI and LLM-powered capabilities, to join our awesome development team.

The candidate will participate in the design, development, and testing of the company's portfolio software solutions, including both customer-facing services and internal tools. Being part of the development team, technology research and innovation will be a fundamental pillar in your activities.

The Backend/AI Engineer must combine strong back-end engineering skills — micro-services, APIs, databases, and distributed systems — with practical experience building AI-driven features: LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows — turning models and agents into robust, production-grade services.

Your Mission:

As a Backend/AI Engineer, you will design and build the back-end services that power the OmniAccess product portfolio — and infuse them with AI capabilities.

Building on a solid foundation of Python and distributed systems, you will own features end-to-end: from data models and APIs to LLM-powered and agentic components, deployed, monitored, and continuously improved in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write E2 (elegant*efficient), well-documented, and reusable code.
• Design, develop, and validate new micro-services covering new business requirements, including their APIs, data models, and integrations.
• Improve, modernize, and re-architect current company products and services; and participate in new feature definition and development for the portfolio.
• Develop AI-driven features powered by LLMs: RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), prompt and context engineering, tool / function calling, and agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain / LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Design, develop, and validate the distributed, high-availability database architecture and the corresponding management services.
• Ensure the reliable and safe integration of AI capabilities into production systems, applying guardrails, evals, and observability.
• Take ownership of the full service lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate back-end and AI capabilities into existing systems and operations.
• Write software tests and collaborate with QA.
• Write both technical and user documentation.
