Associate Product Manager – Internal Tools & Development
Your Mission

We are looking for a passionate, curious, and proactive Associate Product Manager to join our Engineering organisation and help shape the future of our internal products and tools.

Our mission is to design, develop, and continuously improve innovative software solutions that empower our teams and clients to work more efficiently, automate processes, and solve real business challenges.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team of software developers and DevOps engineers, responsible for building and evolving internal tools and services that support a diverse portfolio of clients, each with different business needs, priorities, and technical requirements.

As an Associate Product Manager, you will play an active role in product decision-making, prioritisation, and backlog definition, ensuring that our solutions deliver measurable business value while remaining scalable, maintainable, and aligned with our technology strategy.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable navigating change, and excited about the opportunities that emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), bring to product development and business innovation.

This is a great opportunity to take ownership, grow your product management skills, and contribute to products that make a real difference across the organisation.

What You'll Do
Product Ownership & Strategy
  • Contribute to defining and evolving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal tools and software solutions.
  • Take ownership of product decisions within your area of responsibility, balancing business value, user experience, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
  • Understand the needs of different clients and stakeholders, translating business challenges into actionable product opportunities.
  • Prioritise product features, enhancements, and technical improvements based on business impact, customer needs, and engineering capacity.
  • Define success metrics and use data, feedback, and insights to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise and scale solutions across multiple clients while accommodating specific business requirements.
Product Development & Delivery
  • Work closely with software developers, DevOps engineers, and Architecture teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Translate product requirements into clear features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring priorities and requirements are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Validate delivered functionality against business requirements and ensure solutions meet user expectations.
  • Balance new feature development, technical debt, innovation, and ongoing product maintenance.
AI, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Actively identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve internal products and business processes.
  • Apply AI tools and technologies to enhance product discovery, requirements analysis, decision-making, and day-to-day productivity.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to explore AI-powered capabilities and assess their potential business value.
  • Promote experimentation, continuous learning, and a culture of innovation.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to understand evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Communicate product decisions, progress, dependencies, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage competing requirements across a diverse client portfolio, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Adapt quickly to changing business priorities, new technologies, and evolving organisational needs.
What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or a similar role within a software development environment.
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and modern software delivery practices.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-powered tools, with the ability to identify meaningful use cases and understand their opportunities and limitations.
  • Ability to translate business needs into structured product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate options and make informed product decisions.
  • A customer-focused mindset and a genuine interest in understanding user needs and delivering value.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing demands.
  • Adaptability, curiosity, and a continuous learning mindset, with enthusiasm for working in a fast-changing business and technology environment.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions, propose improvements, and contribute fresh ideas.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams combining software development and DevOps engineering.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud technologies, APIs, infrastructure automation, or developer tooling.
  • Experience developing or managing internal platforms, enterprise applications, or tools used by multiple business units or clients.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, AI integrations, or AI-powered product features.
  • Experience with product management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or GitLab.
  • Familiarity with product discovery techniques, prototyping, and data-driven product management.
  • Product Owner or Agile certifications.
What Makes You a Great Fit

You don't need to know everything from day one. We're looking for someone with the right mindset, a strong foundation, and the motivation to grow.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
  • Enjoy solving complex problems and turning ideas into practical solutions.
  • Are comfortable making decisions, taking responsibility, and learning from outcomes.
  • Can navigate ambiguity and adapt when business priorities change.
  • Are genuinely interested in technology and excited about how AI is transforming software development.
  • Enjoy collaborating with engineers while keeping the bigger business picture in mind.
  • Are eager to learn, challenge existing ways of working, and continuously improve how products are built and delivered.
